Filmayan AI started in 2020, in the heart of Mumbai's film industry.
We learned the trade the long way — scripting, casting, shooting, cutting, grading. The full spectrum of production, done properly, before we ever touched a generative tool. That apprenticeship is the reason our AI work holds up.
Because when the tools arrived, we already knew what a good take felt like.

Ashu Trikha
Creative Director
Ashu Trikha is a Bollywood film director and producer whose career spans over two decades. He began with the Arjun Rampal-starrer Deewaanapan, followed by Sheesha in 2005 and the Mithun Chakraborty-led Zindagi Tere Naam. His subsequent film Baabarr paired Mithun Chakraborty with Om Puri, and he went on to direct Enemmy, an ensemble production starring Mithun Chakraborty, Sunil Shetty, Kay Kay Menon. His filmography also includes Alag (2006), Koyelaanchal (2014), and Veerey Ki Wedding (2018).
As Creative Director at Filmayan, Ashu brings this hands-on directorial and storytelling experience to the studio's AI-driven film production work.

CG Director
Sariesh T brings 22 years of experience in Film and Animation to his role as CGI Director at Filmayan, having built his craft across some of the industry's most respected studios — including Famous House of Animation, Pixon, Prime Focus, and Eyeqube. Over two decades, he has worked across the full spectrum of visual storytelling, from animation and VFX to large-scale CGI production, developing a deep, hands-on understanding of how technology and artistry come together to build worlds on screen.
That extensive studio experience shapes the way he leads at Filmayan today , he channels this experience into every render and every frame Filmayan produces, bringing the discipline of a seasoned professional to a space still being reimagined.

Kavita Kotabagi is the Founder of Filmayan, an enthusiast filmmaker whose journey started as an editor, cutting her teeth across a wide spectrum of advertising films and documentaries. By years of close collaboration with directors, agencies, and production teams across countless campaigns and documentary projects, the experience taught her that great filmmaking and great technology aren't opposing forces — they're collaborators.This belief became the founding vision behind Filmayan, a studio where AI-driven production meets old-fashioned, hard-won storytelling craft. Kavita spearheads Filmayan not as a technologist chasing trends, but as a filmmaker who has sat in the edit bay long enough to know exactly what makes an audience feel .
